Kitten Wellness

We’re excited to welcome new kittens to the family, and we're honored that you’ve chosen us to provide the care and protection they deserve.

Our kitten wellness program is tailored to set your kitten on the right path for a long and healthy life. The first few months are crucial in your kitten's development, and we're here to provide the support and resources you need to help them grow into a healthy, well-behaved cat. Our program includes valuable information on nutrition, litterbox training, and behavior guidance.

We recommend scheduling your kitten’s first exam as soon as possible. Until they’ve completed their series of vaccinations, they are vulnerable to several serious but preventable diseases. We’ll ensure your kitten is protected against rabies and panleukopenia (distemper), and based on their risk, we may also recommend vaccinations against feline leukemia virus (FeLV) and feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV). Additionally, your kitten will need to be tested and treated for parasites, which are common in young cats.

Many kittens have roundworms, intestinal parasites that can cause symptoms like coughing, weight loss, and a potbellied appearance, though some may not show any signs. Treating your kitten for roundworms is crucial not only for their health but also to protect your family. Roundworms are zoonotic parasites, meaning they can be transmitted from pets to people. By ensuring your kitten is properly treated, you’re helping to keep your entire family safe from these and other parasites.
